Creating Orders?

Currently, the only way for an order to come in is if a customer purchases something live on site, however, what if I have a customer who calls in an order, would it be possible to create an order from the back office operations and place it in my system? This would be greatly beneficial especially for tracking and order status features, especially if the customer is already a current customer.

Any info would be appreciated. :)
