how do i request additional information on my site?

Hi all

I am working on my 1st website using your fantastic Zen Cart

I sell personalised products that require the buyer to send me names and date of birth for each item orded, is it possible to request this info from the customer when adding to the cart? if not is it possible to request the info after the customer returns to the site after payment and how do i add it?

I hope somebody can help me

Do some research on the Attributes system. It allows you to collect custom information right on the product information page before a product is added to the cart.

Guys that was a great help I have now made the attributes that I need, just one other question that i cant seem to find in the help section.

Once the attribute has been set and is live on my page the wording states "Please Choose:" can this be changed to "Please Add"

Any help on this would be fantastic.

Yes. Use the Admin - Tools - Developers Tool Kit to search for 'please choose' to find the file where that's defined, and edit that file. (It's in includes/languages/english/product_info.php)
