Coupon Code making my Credit Card Transactions Decline

I have a store set up at shopgoldenpony.com. There's a coupon setup with the following information.

name:welcome
amount:15%
minimum order: 1.0000
Coupon Code: a2bf6b3a97
start date: 20, january, 2010
end date, 28, february, 2010
coupon zone restriction: none

My payment gateway is linkpoint. Running a credit card transaction without a code works fine. However, applying the code (which seems to work), and then trying to complete the transaction results in a declined credit cart transaction.

I've searched, and searched.... and searched... and there's a few threads referencing the problem with no real solution. Has anyone ever had this problem and/or a fix?

It seems kind of like a big deal to not have been documented. Thanks.

nevermind, figured it out. I was installing the patch in the wrong directory.

What exactly did you patch to fix this problem? My client is having trouble processing cc transactions and I wonder if it has to do with coupon codes as well.
