"cc" means it processed using "Credit Card - Offline Processing".
If you're not using offline-processing of credit cards, go and click "Remove" on that module. Same with Check/MoneyOrder. Leaving unused modules sitting in installed-but-inactive status can sometimes result in unexpected results such as you describe.

Yes! Thank you! I had this same problem, and removing the credit card module fixed it.
