new order confirmation emails suddenly stopped

I have stopped receiving the automatic Order Confirmations statements. I am receiving the credit card settlement and merchant email receipt but no longer receiving notification of the order placed on my web site. Anyone have any ideas what I need to do to fix this?

me too - I use two different accounts to separate merchant info and order info.
email 1 is a gmail account and is default for everything except the order info

email 2 is also a gmail account.

enable email archiving, once you get an order check your archive you can determine if the email is actually being sent. If it isn't, then you must of change something in your setting to stop that or something have changed on your server.

I found that some of my client have added their email to junk list and the order confirmation where sitting in the junk folder.

yes, checked the archives and emails are in there, and searched emails and no they are no where to be found. it appears that someone is using the tell a friend feature for spamming others. I made it so that you have to be logged in to use the feature but now I'm wondering if this caused a prob with my gmail account being blacklisted somewhere?? anyone else have this prob.

Even if your domain is marked as span it would show up in your spam folder. It is recommended to use an email account that matches your domain name. Such as [email protected] it is more professional. I have never used Gmail as admin email so maybe someone else can assist you.

I started using gmail about 2 years ago because my host was having blacklist problems. (that is now cleared up and I am on dedicated ip) I'm not blacklisted.
Everything was working fine so I never changed from the gmail / yahoo combination. Now I have changed email address so that the store email is an @crafterscafe.com address, and one getting order confirms is a yahoo and I even added an extra for another .com address that I own. for order confirms - no emails are going though but they are in database.

If there would be a file that someone would hack that would ignore the system defaults where would I look. I don't think I was hacked but I'm not discounting anything at this point.

I am having the same problem. I haven't had any new orders in quite some time, but today I took 4 new orders and didn't get an emails. I did not have the email archiving set on on, but I do now.

I recently did all the security upgrades as outlined in the forums, but I had not made any changes to the Email options page.

Is there any way to get confirmations email sent for previous orders?

I am not sure why you would need the previous orders confirmation resent to you. You can check the order in your admin area.

This email problem seems to be specific to your website. There must be something wrong with your setting or you changed something that affected that.

Most of us here are using the latest security updates with no problems. Check the email settings and your host compatibility.

When I see a post with the term 'suddenly stopped', the answer almost always turns out to be about some change the host has made in server configuration. I'd check with them first.

Well, I feel like a goof. I thought to check in my Junk email folder in my Outlook, and there were my order confirmations. Doh. Thanks for the replies anyway!
