Specify Sizes to quantity

I have several items of a product but different sizes have different quantities. I can designate sizes but not how many I have per size. Also, how is this reflected on the product page(ie user interaction)?

Example:
Size Small = 1 quantity
Size Medium = 3 quantity
Size Large = 5

or

Size 3 = 1 quantity
Size 6 = 4 quantity
Size 8= 7 quantity
