Can I assign more than one TEXT field to a product?

Hi, we have some products that require multiple text fields.

We sell stamps and for example; a four line stamp will show 4 text fields to fill in your details.

When i create and assign text fields in the attribute controller for zen cart, it only displays one field.

Am i doing something wrong , or is this a limitation in zc?

If zc is somehow limiting the textfield count to 1, could someone point me in the right direction as to where id change the code?

Are you creating multiple text attributes?

As in
Option Name
Text1
Text2
text3t

Hi Kobra, yes I did. It was pretty late when i did the test so ill try again.

But Im sure i had;

textfield1
textfield2
textfield3

and only;

textfield1

showed up on the product page. Will check and come back shortly.

Text Attributes work slightly differently... One Option NAME cannot have more than ONE text Option VALUE.

If you want several text fields, these must be set up as multiple Option NAMES.

Each Option NAME is assigned TEXT as the Option TYPE

When applying these Option Names to the product, simply select the relevant Option NAMES and in the second set of selections (values), click TEXT.

Thanks for the reply. Something must be screwy with my atrributes controller or something.. the other day i could add text fields, now if i create a text field i get this;

I cant select the option name and assign it to anything.

This only happens when trying to a create a text field, dropdowns and other option types seem to work fine.

I did do a custom import of all my products, but i wouldnt think that would affect things?

That suggests you've damaged some files by deleting records you shouldn't have. There may be more cleanup required than just that one entry. Best to compare with a clean install to see what else you need to fix.
