Default Make a copy of my existing store (Export/Import/Huh?)

Ok, hope this isn't a stupid question. Still gotta ask.

I'm not a noob with zencart, been using it for a while now but this is something I've never done.

Here's the thing... I'm running zencart. Now, I wanna 'duplicate' everything I have in the store, including products, layout, database... Directly into a new store and domain name. Though the isp remains the same and will be using the same servers etc.

The only thing I don't need to keep is existing customer information.

In short, I wanna make a second store using my existing products and all, so I wouldn't have to start everything from scratch. After all is said and done, I would then have two stores that have the same products, same layout etc.

I know it's probably something as simple as one-two-three but I couldn't find this from FAQ.

    Thanks in advance!

Prettyv much the same procedure as outlined here:

Ah, I knew it was something like this

Well, I guess that should do it, then.

    Many Thanks!

    Hi, I'm using v1.3.9h

When first installing zencart, the instructions recommended that I create my store and keep the demo. But they also told me to erase the zc_install directory. However article99 says:

3- Simply take all the files the way they are and upload them to your new host. BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE "zc_install" folder.

So if I erased the zc_install directory, how do I create my real store?

Basically, do I go through the installation process a second time, to a different directory?

    Thanks,

    John Bleau

Once the store is INSTALLED, there is no need for the install folder.

If you want to MOVE your store, it's a different procedure. You don't install it again...
