customer sign in form modification

hello, i am installing zen cart
using Zen Cart 1.3.8p3

in the new customer sign up form it wants a customers age as required information. i am selling engine parts and i dont want age as a required field. can anyone tell me how to modify this form?

in fact i would prefer purchasing without accounts at all, but that seems beyond the scope of zen cart.

if anyone has any tips to make the customer experience more streamlined please share.
