Any interest in category/product browsing via AJAX module?

Hi folks,

I set up an online shopping catalog at easystreetrecumbents.com/catalog , based on zen cart v.1.3.8, that browses categories and subcategories via AJAX.

It's not perfect, but it's pretty useable and seems to be very compatible with the browser's forward and back controls. A nice bonus is that the category URLs are much cleaner than the long URL parameters used by default. In the near future I would like to further modify the software to load products and the shopping cart via AJAX as well, so the user never has to load a new page until it's time to check out.

I could package up the AJAX features and create an add-on module. But that represents extra work for me, and I'd like to get an idea first to see if this is something people would actually find useful and valuable.

Sorry if this has already been posted before - I tried searching on the forum for this topic and didn't immediately find any other projects out there that do what I'm doing.
