Dilema with product quantity box

Using Cold Steel template with the latest store version.

My situation is I don't like the quantity text field when looking at category product list. There is a box to enter quantity, but no button to indicate the add to cart. I know I can just hit enter in that text field to send it to the cart, but customers are used to having a button and it adds confusion.

But when I set a product not to show a quantity option, people can't even edit quantities in the shopping cart.

Is there a quick (or at least reasonable for poor PHP skills) way to:

1 allow edit of quantity in the shopping cart while at the same time-
2 add a submit button next to the quantity box in list view.

There are a few ways to set that up ...

You can have:

1 the multiple add to cart where there is an input box on each field and the add to cart buttons are at the top and/or bottom of the list ...

2 Buy Now buttons only next to each Product ... but this only adds quantity 1

3 An input box for each Product with its own Add to Cart button that only works for the individual Product's input box

These settings are configurable on the Configuration ... Product Listing ...

Display Product Add to Cart Button (0=off; 1=on; 2=on with Qty Box per Product)
Do you want to display the Add to Cart Button?

NOTE: Turn OFF Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status to use Option 2 on with Qty Box per Product

Yes, I understand those options. The main problem is there are problems with the setting closest to what I want. I have it set to #2 but if you look at the image I attached, I don't like that there's no submit button next to the quantity imput. A lot of my client's shoppers are either new to the internet or elderly, or both, so we have a lot of issues with "obvious" functions not being so obvious for some.

The way Zen Cart is setup ... you have a choice of the 3 ways to have the Product Listing displayed ...

What is it that you don't like on the Product Listing of the choices of:
Add to cart input box and the button at the top/bottom of the list where you can add 1 or more products at one time ...

Add to cart input box and the button next to it per product where you enter the quantity on a per product basis and click the Add to Cart button ...
