How do install Statcounter.com/ page analytics on my site?

im actually trying to install statcounter analytics or google analytics. is there a way??

There are modules in thre free add ons for GA...

You could also just tack the code on the bottom of :
includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/common/tpl_main_page.php
or
includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/common/tpl_footer.php

I think those are right.

When I was using PC-based firewall software, I recall sites that used "statcounter.com" and other similar tracking sites were getting flagged by the firewall software and alerting me that the site was collecting information about my surfing habits, and recommended that I avoid the site.

Might want to keep that in mind when using these so-called stat services that promise the world but fall flat on their face because of such safeguards alerting users to steer clear.
