Removing Newsletter??

How do I remove the newsletter from the sign up and the newsletter unsuscribe from the information table? Thanks.

admin -> configuration -> e-mail options -> Display "Newsletter Unsubscribe" Link? (set to false)

admin -> configurtion -> customer details -> Show Newsletter Checkbox (set to 0)

Thanks, I removed the newsletter. I also tried to remove the discount coupons....it removed from the information table....but the link is still there under the site map. Is there a way to remove it from the site map. The other way took it off, but this doesn't seem to be doing it.

I did that...set it to 3, but it's still under the site map.

My cart has been doing something strange for years. Even after removing the newsletter links and check-boxes, when you go the the admin and pull up a customers info, it still says newsletter "subscribed". Some customers have noticed this and are not happy that they are subscribed to my newsletter. Then I have to take the time to tell them that we do not send newsletters from our online store, it is a software glitch.
