But I believe that the OP was asking about others listing their items on a ZenCart they would manage

Fair point Kobra ... I should have made clear that within the Zen Cart context, these would have been starting points only and significant development would be needed to extend them into allowing people to list their own products.

There is a thread somewhere from a couple of years back that lists the steps necessary to do this in Zen Cart (I did it once) but it's a ton of work.
