searching for "charset" in the FAQ area brings up a couple articles. Here's one: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=26

I have the correct setting according to the article. I guess the only other thing to do is restore my machine to a point where I knew the site was coming up - would that be your recommendation?

I honestly have no idea what's causing it to not work on just your computer.
In my opinion what you're suggesting is an extremely drastic move.

    I know, neither do I

I'm out of ideas, and I honestly do not know how else to troubleshoot it. If you have any other ideas on how to diagnose please let me know.

I will probably proceed with the System Restore tomorrow. Right now I'm late for a meeting!!!

I went to proceed with a System Restore and went to a point on Fri when I knew I could access my site and I saw that the 'restore point' was labeled 'Software Distribution Service 3.0'

Being that Windows Update did run and install updates Fri morning, I googled it and clicked on a results that was similar to my issue, 'Software Distribution Service 3.0, can not connect to the internet'. I read all the posts and they were generally the same. People could not load pages or connect to the internet.

I have a meeting to go to now but I am going to research further into this and hopefully be able to report back with good news (i.e. the solution).

    Thanks for your help.
    Thank you,

Well, given that *others* can access your site fine, and it's possible that the only thing in the equation that has changed since it last worked properly was maybe the MS software update, and since you say your research shows others reporting the same problem ... perhaps reverting back from that update may be the solution to your particular problem.

Yes, I agree. I'm going to look at more of those posts tomorrow to solidify this but I honestly think that the MS update is the culprit here.

Its shows as being done just after 8:15am Fri morning and I was able to access my site Fri morning and into the afternoon. I was prompted that I needed to restart my computer for the updates to take effect but I elected to do that when I was done with my work. It wasn't until Fri afternoon that I actually restarted the computer and after that the problem began.

I am however, going to put all my pertinent ZC files on my flash drive before I restore and then simply put copy and paste them back when its done.
    Thank you,

    UPDATE

Believe it or not, a System Restore DID NOT FIX the problem. So I contacted my hosting company and the rep said they may be blocking my IP on their end. I may have triggered any one of their red flags. I advised him that I had been doing ALOT of ftping that day and he said that could have done it. I will know in a bit.

I'm glad that I can simple reverse my System Restore - thats nice. Waiting tho till I hear back from my hoster.
    Thank you,
