Best Way - What does it mean? How to remove?

Hi,

when choosing shipping options, there's often this mysterious info
"Best Way", e.g. after "Per Item".

Could someone please explain what that means?
I don't understand it, my client (the merchant) doesn't, and we can certainly not expect customers to understand it, therefore I'd like to remove the text completely.

The text itself is easy to remove (MODULE_SHIPPING_ITEM_TEXT_WAY in item.php). But how to get rid of the parentheses that remain?
Couldn't find it.

Thanks, Misty. I searched for "Best Way", of course, but came up with no results. Strange.

Anyway, that thread unfortunately doesn't solve the problem. The text can be changed of removed easily. But how can I remove the parentheses?

I tried to trace back where they come from, in templates and classes, to no avail.
