Remove link from product listing page

The code you show doesn't properly go with the product listing page. The <h1> tag should be unique on a page, and each product will not have one.
/includes/modules/your_template/product_listing.php is the file you would have to edit for your desires, and it does not resemble the code you posted, which comes from tpl_product_info_display.php.

Hi jgh42,

I'm trying to accomplish turning off the link to the product detail page as well since all of the information I need displayed on my products shows up on the product listing page.

I opened /includes/modules/your_template/product_listing.php and I'm not sure what I need to edit...I see the general area where I think the code is that makes the link [around line 97] but I dont know what to comment out or delete.

I'm going to make a few guesses and try it, but if you know what to do, I'd really appreciate your help!

If I were to remove the code between bof Product URL & eof Product URL would that do it? I could have sworn I tried, it didn't do what I needed, so I put it back in.

That file is not for the product listing page, so it won't do you any good to edit it. You need to edit /includes/modules/your_template/product_listing.php
(copy from /includes/modules/product_listing.php).

Since you are removing a link, the Item Name may now be a different color than what you want. I went to the stylesheet.css file for my template and in my case, found h3.ItemTitle and added a color statement in there to change it to the desired color.

And as always, make backups of your files!
