IE not displaying sidebar CSS properly

Any ideas why IE would render some of my css page, but not the sidebar's categories stylings?

I found the problem, for whatever reason when I checked the stylesheet in Notepad++ the codes for the sidebar were greyed out (weird) - my best guess on this was that somehow effected IE's ability to read the sheet, but the other browsers were still able to? I don't know why that would be, though. Anyway, I copied & pasted the greyed out code back into the stylesheet and it's working now.
