Subject missing from Contact Us - captchanumbersubjectcomboinone related ?

I'm running 1.3.8a, and the captchanumbersubjectcomboinone_1-0 addon for Captcha.

Captcha element is working fine - except the Subject never makes it to the email. I've also noted that if i missed a field and submit the form it comes back requesting missing info, but Subject is now blank.

I've looked in header_php.php, tpl_contact_us_default.php, but cant find anything that looks obviously wrong (only a few hours of hours php knowledge to date unfortunately).

Is there anywhere else i should be looking for or is there something really obvious i'm missing.

Would i be better using captcha_using_ttf_gd_2-9 ?

Yep - definately seems the case..

Would you, or anyone, know which of the files i listed i could edit to at least remove the subject box from the form ?

I understand simple HTML forms, but just need a little guidance on where to look for this and how it gets passed on, as i guess i will need to alter something to stop it demanding the field is completed...

Thanks for any assistances - this is the last little bit i think i need to do before my site goes live...

I'm having similar problem - I get a subject line, but it always reads "Message from 'my store name' "

I don't see anything in the email config menu to set/edit this.

I think I've tracked down the problem, if not the solution.

I had captchanumbersubjectcomboinone installed. I (thought I) took it off and replaced with catchattf-telephonenotrequired.

In my live templates/temp_default/tpl_contact_us_default.php there is one snippet of left over code creating a subject label on the contact us form. However, there are no refs to the subject line in languages/english/contact_us.php or in mods/pages/contact_us/header_php.php

None of my other mods had any changes to tpl_contact_us_default.php

So I guess that's why my contact form will allow/require a subject line, but not send it to me.

Probably also part/all of why I had to turn captcha off because not working right..

I see there is an 'add subject line' mod, but I don't have it installed. So I guess if I want the subject line I should first find a way to clean up my captcha mess, and then install that mod.
