Hi everyone, i am still having issues with the images. I have followed the How to image preparation and have the following directory structures which is mirrored in the domain. BroomeBeads>images>CzechGlassSeedTn>BlueTurquoise.jpg
BroomeBeads>images>medium>CzechGlassSeedMed>BlueTurquoise_MED.jpg
BroomeBeads>images>large>CzechGlassSeedLrg>BlueTurquoise_LRG.jpg
In the images folder there was already a folder called large and medium .. so rather than have my 150 or so images mixed up with the generic ones .. i put them in their own folder within the large folder. I will have many images in their various sizes say another 2,000 images that are not seed beads but some other sort, ie images that relate to silver beads, alphabet beads, etc. If I throw the whole lot in large, it will be very messy but is this what i must do? to get zen cart to read the appropriate _LRG. IE no subfolders? I noticed that in the large folder there are generic subfolders, one called microsoft and one named DVD .. so I figured there must be a way?
Also when uploading the images in the back end ... If i use browse
for the image and select the image from my BroomeBeads>images>CzechGlassSeedTn>BlueTurquoise.jpg and then choose from the upload to directory drop down box and select CzechGlassSeedTn - I get no image available. If I choose main directory i get the thumbnail but then on the server it will place it straight into the images folder and my medium and larger image display as thumbnail size. I guess your going to tell me that I have to have all 2000 images sitting in the images folder and all 2000 copies of the medium _MED sitting directly in the medium folder.
I read the following article and got even more confused as they mention that if you have images in the appropriate folders on your local computer and server .. that you do not have to even upload them from the back end .. is this true?
"For your medium and large pictures, whose size you can set in the Administration dialogs, you can repeat the same process, but instead of uploading the pictures using the Zen Cart administration interface you simply FTP them to their directories making sure to add an extension at the end that will tell Zen Cart that the pictures belong to a certain product but they are a different size. Zen Cart will know to display them in the appropriate pages."
my site in progress is http://www.broomebeads.com.au
Thanks everyone!![]()

It only works if i take them out of the subfolders.
