Default How do I identify which admin user is logged in?

OK, so my client needs to have several different users on the admin. Some of those users are only allowed to view the orders report under customers. I have completed that portion through admin settings -> permissions. The problem is that this user is only supposed to see orders that are cash on delivery. The problem I'm running into is figuring out which user is logged in, does anyone know how to capture the user name or id?

Where is "admin settings -> permissions" ? Is that some add-on?

Yes, it's the admin profiles mod. I thought this was standard in the new cart but i guess not.
