Multiple stores for each country

Hi all,

I'm looking for if there is a possibility to do the following.

I'm getting one website. www.domain.com
On the beginning screen I want the visitor to select from which country he is. Regarding to what he selects here, he goes to a specific shop.

Each country has different products for sale with different prices. But now I don't know how to accomplish this best.

Would Multisite do? Or is this just for that if you use www.domain.com and www.domain1.com to 'redirect' to the same shop? I believe that if I understand it correctly, this module would do what I want ('different stores on 1 location, but I'm not sure)

Would it be best to use this Multisite module or would it be better to install a complete version per country? The disadvantage of that would be that there a multiple administrators and that when the owners would like to add a country, they would need a complete new extra install.

So is it possible to get one install and allow users to select a country so they get in a specific environment with different products and prices?

I haven't used the Multisite mod, but if I wanted to do what you're proposing, I would install separate installations of Zencart in subdirectories and create an index.html page in the root of the site with links to the varous countries sites.

I'm thinking of this also. Except I have the following problem then.
The site admin, not me, but someone who I am making this for, would like to have the possibility to add a country.
That would mean that they have to install a complete new zencart which they can't, otherwise I wouldn't have to do it for them now. ;)

Is it not possible to give one shop different 'categories' or something (for example Dutch, Germany etc)?
If you select germany in the shop you get to see all the produts that are placed in the category? Germany, if you select Dutch, you get to see al Dutch products (in category Dutch for example?)

So perhaps this would be possible? I've just installed 1.3.9a (or would it better to install 1.3.8, while there aren't languagepacks available for 1.3.9a yet (or are 1.3.8 version compatible?)
