How to work with Downloadable Products?

I am somewhat familiar by now with ZenCart and using it for general products (thanks to this forum..) but I am getting ready to create a shopping cart that will sell downloadable products i.e. mp3's, pdf tutorials among others.

Are there any good threads or tutorials on how to use the cart for downloadable products? I would use the 'Music' Product type maybe? Most of it will be music.
For example: where should the mp3s reside? Should they be in zip format or streaming? What is the best and most secure way to set this up. Most of it will be 0.99 cent mp3 downloads. I also want to use PayPal for the payment option. Maybe some of you who have this sort of setup can advise.
Anyhow... some guidance would be greatly appreciated before I start this up.
