Default On Shared Server and cannot see directory where zen cart is installed

My site is hosted on dotster.com and when I FTP into the site to try and find the directory to make some basic changes to the cart I cannot find the directory (was told to go look in the \includes\languages\english\index.php directory). When I called dotster up, they said that the directory is hidden and that if I change it, it will change for all customers.
Something about that answer stinks though because I can change other stuff about the website without messing with other sites.
I really dont know what to tell them other than.. that sux.. so if you guys can tell me where to go or what to tell Dotster, that would be great.

    Thanks!!

Uh ... run, not walk to a host that know what they are doing ...
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

eCommerce is a serious undertaking. When running a system that will be taking personal info and money from people, you owe it to them to act responsibly. Additionally, you will have legal obligations to do so.

Don't mess about with cheap and nasty hosting. Form a relationship with a host that appreciates these responsibilities, and who has taken the time and trouble to invest in the provision of a reliable and safe hosting infrastructure.

A proper host will remove many potential hassles and problems that happen down the line. This forum is awash with tearful posts from people who have failed to appreciate this principal requirement.

Your consideration should not be one of cost, but one of reliability, stability, security and efficiency.

Yes, I agree completely. I suspect that the weekend support people were just not trained on how to support websites that installed zencart. I will be contacting their weekday support people and if I see the same types of response, then I will suggest to the client that they move their website to a hosting company that takes their job seriously.
