Product name length

Product names in the product list are shortened like this:


I want zen cart to display a full a name. Is it possible to do via admin panel or should I edit the template I use?

I'm using zen cart 1.3.8 and modern zen template.

I'm afraid it's not what I wanted. Your options shows a part of description in the product list, but the name still remains shortened.

In the products_description table in the database, the products_name field is set to 64 characters.

using phpMyAdmin, you can expand this, but it is not advisable to make it too large:

Thanks, schoolboy. In fact, it was the first thing I've tried, but it doesn't affect the number of displayed characters in the product list.

I've tried to change the template and the default one displays full title, so I'll look into the template files.

What template are you using? Is it by any chance a TemplateMonster template?

I am using Zencart v1.3.9d recently. I am having problem with the product name length, I hope to get longer product name length.
I tried to modify the product name field from 64 to 80 in the table
order_product and
product_option

but I did not see any change for the product name length. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Thanks

Try inputting the product names again.

This worked for me. keep in mind that Google base only displays and recommends a maximum of 70 . Don't know what happens if you exceed this and use Google Base.
