Copying table into Category Description

I am still building categoreis in my website. I have a 30 row x 9 columnn table that I'm pasting into a category description. I copy it from Excel and the information is copied perfectly. However, the individual cell alignment is not copied - all the cells wind up left justified - so I highlight them within the ZC description box to change them to center alignment. Then the last row gets screwed up. The row height changes to about 5 times the height of the other rows in the rest of the table, and the very last cell (lower right) winds up with the line "there are no products in this category).

Strangely enough, if I reduce the rows in the table from 30 to 27 prior to importing the table I dont have this problem.

Any thoughts?

By copying and pasting from MS Excel, you are bringing in MS formatting which is not recognised.

You need to build your table in a HTML editor, and then grab the source code of the table and paste that into the category description text field (after toggling the HTMLArea editor to source code mode).

Thanks - I'll give that a try - although I still dont understand why it doesnt have any trouble with a 27 row table, but it cant handle a 30 row table.

I used Excel "Web Page Preview" grabbed the source code, pasted that into the category description and it worked fine.
