Google Voice Widget in sidebox/banner

Morning all, I've been lurking about gleaning all I can from here, and our site has been live for over a month thanks to the community support. (Fez-o-rama)

Some of you may have seen Google Voice - and how it allows for a 'widget' to be placed on the website to allow customers to call your GV number. The problem is with the GV icon - it's 230 pixels wide and doesn't exactly look that nice.

So, someone out there in the ether made a customizable widget in php/js - snipsta.com/blog/2009/08/ajax-custom-google-widget/ and it looks like it would be a good 'fit' for Zenners.

Not being the fastest programmer out there, I thought I'd post here and see if someone with those 'leet skills might be able to mod it ala zencarts DIR.FS / DIR.WS / template pathing / etc. for everyone's usage.

It seems easy enough, but I can't seem to get the php code to run in the sidebox html area. Is there a trick to that?

I haven't seen that widget (though I love Google Voice), but it sounds like something that would better be installed in the Blank Sidebox mod.

It works in-line on the contact form just fine - we've been getting quite a few calls from people. :)

Anywhere would be great - it's just modding it to work within ZC - and to have a different graphic, as the one now is just bleh! *chuckle*

I've tried it in a sidebox, but the graphic is static, so a smaller left (or right) column makes it look like arse.

Just thought it'd be a good 'value add' :)
