    help question NMI payments: missing order comments

    Hello everyone,

    Can someone tell me why some orders have customer comments and others do not? See attached image, all 3 of these orders have the same order status, and the same type of comment usps tracking number.

    Did these clients submit a comment if so where do you check it?

    Can someone tell me why some orders have customer comments and others do not?
    I would guess that not all costomers made comments...

    When a customer goes to Checkout (Step 1 of 3), they will see a section at the bottom of the page titled, "Special Instructions or Comments About Your Order." This section is where they can input a comment about the order. If they don't fill anything in, there won't be any comments to see in admin and no yellow box next to the order.

    In your Admin, click on the customer order or click the edit button. At the bottom of the page you will see their comments (if they added any to the order during checkout).

    Thanks for the replies guys, what am I missing??? If I click on Customers > Orders than a order lets say the one from Alison, you can see the order is flagged with the yellow box, but in the attached first screen you can see there are no comments and on the order details page there are no comments by the customer?

    I too am having this issue.

    See IllusionGuy's first screen shot: and my attached screen shot.

    You will see that there is a yellow dot/ball indicating a comment has been left. However, the "Comment" is not being displayed in the right column's "preview" box.

    How would one go about fixing this? (around admin/orders.php line number 928?)

    Nope. Figured it would be in next major overhaul of the store.

    I have a client that states they are not getting the "Special Instructions or Order Comments" showing up on their order confirmations/ print out of orders. I see in this thread how you hide this feature, however is there a global way to confirm that this shows up on all orders.

    very new to zen...any help would be appreciated

    thanks for the reply carney, I'm almost thinking this is a bug, I was not able to find where the info is displayed if a client submits information in their order, I can see where it normally would be but it does not show up for us ether.

    IllusionGuy, the ONLY time you'll see that yellow "comments" icon is when the customer enters a comment during checkout.
    That comment will appear in the FIRST order-status-history line with the green-checkmark. All other comments will NOT trigger the yellow icon.

    carney's issue sounds like it's something else altogether, and would be suitable for discussion in a separate thread.
