Exchange server question

Hi, I am new to zen cart and I'm having a lot of difficulty getting the e-mail feature to work.

My question is this: if I run an Exchange server and the DNS MX record for my domain name points to that server and not to the web server, will I still be able to enable and send e-mail with zen cart? Because for the life of me I can't get an e-mail out.

You need to set your store up for SMTPAUTH ans the transport protocol, and supply your SMTP host/user/pwd/port details. And you need your MX records to allow your webserver IP address to send emails on your behalf.
