Would you have any idea what could be the problem?

Would someone, anyone, please look at this and tell me what is going on?

I installed EasyPHP + SQL + ZenCart v1.3.8 and when I attempt to open the default demo template included with ZenCart install, i get this erro message:

Deprecated: Function set_magic_quotes_runtime() is deprecated in C:\Program Files\EasyPHP-5.3.1\www\zen-cart-v1.3.8a-full-fileset-12112007\includes\application_top.php on line 18

Surely this is a common error caused by something I overlooked or didn't know to do. Please help.

    EasyPHP-5.3.1

If this indicates that your installation is using PHP 5.3.x, you will need to apply the PHP 5.3 patch to your Zen Cart. Look in the forum for discussions and the patch files.

PHP 5.3 made some controversial changes that break many, many existing PHP programs.

I've been looking for answers, but haven't learned till now that EasyPHP doesn't work.

Is there anyone who has a solid opinion on what might be the BEST replacement for EasyPHP which turned out to be DifficultPHP???

I use EasyPHP 1.8.0.1. With it, you don't have to password or name the database..just leave those settings like they are.

And if you continue with EasyPHP, I recommend you install it in C:/ (not C:/Program Files) if using WinXP or Vista.

Thanks, but I think I'll just stick with EasyPHP v5.2.10 for now.

Thanks, but I like EasyPHP v5.2.10, tho I took your suggestion to put it in C:\ root directory.
