Need Products by Manufacturer AND by Category

I enabled my Manufacturer filter/dropdown but when I use it, while inside a category, it just displays all products of that manufacturer.


Is it possible to simply filter the product listing of the current category that are also part of that manufacturer?

If I am in Hockey Sticks category, I then select CCM as the manufacturer, it shows me the gloves and other equipment not part of the Hockey Sticks category :)

Any help would be appreciated.

By default, when looking at a Category with mixed Manufacturers you get the dropdown for Manufacturers ...

If you pick a Manufacturer then only the Products in that Category for that Manufacturer show ...

Do you use Linked Products?

Do you import your Products?

Are you using SEO/rewrites of some sort?

If you switch to the Classic Template does this still happen?

Is there an URL that we could perhaps peek at for this?

I'm not sure about linked products, I don't use the manufacturer sidebox on the right-side, I actually use it inside my tpl_index_product_list.php

you can click on any category - all listing pages I show a brand dropdown which is the manufacturers -

You can see the bread crumb goes from home -> CATEGORY to home -> MANUFACTURER, instead of home -> CATEGORY -> Manufacturer, for instance.

If you updated your hostfile,

simply use http://prohockeylife.com without the 'www'

should work

Yes, it should already be doing that filtering for you within the Category that you are looking at in the Listing ...

I just installed a fresh copy locally, created a few test categories/products,

and then enabled the manufacturer sidebox to the left.

After picking a manufacturer, it just brings me to a page that shows all products in that manufacturer, it doesn't keep the category im in.

Am I not seeing something?
