Licence Key delivery for digital (software) products

Hi folks,

I'm wondering if & how Zen does licence key delivery.

I've searched the forums and tutorials and found a lot about delivering digital products from one off URLs using symlinks, etc. My scenario is slightly different to these, but should be fairly common.

The product is a software product and licence key combination. Each customer gets their own licence key. Anyone can download the software, but it cannot be activated without the unique licence key.

We have a (large) list of unique keys. Our current solution use 1ShoppingCart to email the next licence key off the top of the list to the customer on purchase. 1SC gives us a warning email when we're running low on the number of licences left in the system.

Does Zen have this kind of functionality, or can it easily be hacked to implement it? (If not, any other suggestions for free/open-source carts that will do this?).

No..you would have to employ zencart coder or see if has already been done, with details in a previous forum post.
