Text/HTML code editors - Best Choices for working with editing my Zen Cart files?

Quick and Simple. I am looking for a good HTML TEXT Editor for Zen Cart. I see everyone has their own style of doing things, but I dont have the experience in picking out the right or proper (what works best) tools for this. Can anyone tell me the BEST TEXT EDITOR. I have been looking at Ultra Edit and Crimson and NotePad ++. Am I on the right track. Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out......

I use Notepad most of the time, and Notepad ++ when I need to see line numbers.

I started to use Ultra Edit but I see alot of names being thrown around. I just wanted to make sure that I was using something that was quality.
