Search Box not working!

The search feature is only dislplaying matches for word found in the product descriptions only. It won't find any products by title regardless of title case or lower case ... also won't find categories.

Anyone Got ZEn on this one?

You might try a few things:

1 switch to Classic Template ... does it work?

Still no solution... This seems to be a common issue ..but no real solutions have been added to an post that I have seen.

looks the closest to your issue where I can search for:
baby

But not for:
classic
croc

as they have an upper case letter ... this could be a symptom of a bad Collation setting in your database table(s) ...

Hey total noob here,


I'm totally confused as to why my search isn't working either.
I get random results and there are headers in the search that I thought I turned off. Not to metion the advanced search turns up nothing. I apologize in advance for my noobness its I've messed up the cart a couple of times trying things on my own.

Help me zencarters your my only hope.

Your display looks moofy as heck on the results but if I search on:

I find them ...

Well yeah I guess the search is working but I'm still baffeled as to why the results look... moofy.

and... since I have you here, how do I create more atributes for the search. like size, shape, color, cut. I cant figure out how to get rid of the wierd headers for qunity, model, manufacturer, and weight. there's got to be a way to get rid of them.

At this time, there isn't a search for the Attributes ...

On the Configuration ... Product Listings ... you have the fields you want to show ...

0 means OFF and any other value is the display order ... if you were to turn off some of the fields like Quantity, Weight and Manufacturer ... the display would look better ...
