Template changes doesn't work

Hi to all

I done an install of the latest zencart 1.3.8a pretty new to it all however iam getting to grips with it, i installed a new template called "winky pinky" and all is well however ive decided for another look and installed a template called "desert noon"

I installed all files to my server went to - Tools>Template selection clicked edit and selected desert noon template and clicked update

Then i went to Layout boxes controller and hit reset, but looking at the bottom of the page it says - "DEFAULT Sort Order for Template: pinkywinky"

So it hasn't changed the template i tried several times but still no joy, also i tried changing over to the default template that was installed with zencart "Classic Contemporary Green" but again it will not change and stays with my current template "pinky winky"

Please could anyone help with this

Just a small update wasn't sure if the security patch needed applying to my version 1.3.8a but ive uploaded the security patch anyway but still no look with this.

Looks like iam gonna be doing a fresh install if i can't get this to work

Make sure you uploaded the security patch files (which you do need) to the proper admin folders and not the cart folders.

The reason for my post was that some people mistakenly upload the security patch files to /includes rather than admin/includes. That can cause the symptoms you're seeing.

Ive just double checked and i definatly uploaded to admin
So strange why this is doing it, all the templates show up but non will change, don't really want to do a fresh install but better to do know than when my store is setup....

Well i just done a complete fresh install and the template change seems to be working now.............
