Add 'Would you also like to purchase...' to other products using attributes?

We sell Welsh Lovespoons. We have now commisioned a book explaing the tradition, carving techniques etc.

What I would like to do is to add a box under each Lovespoon product asking the customer if they would also like to add the book to the order at a charge of £3.

I have used attributes in the past, and believe that I can do this by creating a new option name 'Would you also like a copy of the Lovespoon Booklet at £3? and then values 'Yes' and 'No' with 'Yes' incurring a charge of £3.

This would answer the problem, but people are unlikely just to pay £3 without knowing more about the Book. I have created the Book as a product also, with all the information.

Is there a way of linking this product (i.e. the book) with every Lovespoon product, so that at the bottom of each lovespoon product page, you can choose to also purchase the book, but that there is also a link to the book product page?

Has anyone got any advice on this issue? Otherwise It will mean that I have to manually place a link to the book on each of the Lovespoon product pages, which would be a great task.

Take a peek in the Software Addons, I'm pretty sure that there's a 'related products' add-on.

Best I can think of would be to add the book as an attribute and write up a short description of it and add that to the product info pages descriptions. swguy has a boilerplate mod that might make that a little easier:
