Default New Cart Old DB - purge sales data?

Hi I have a new cart which is a duplicate of an older one still on 138A.

The files have been duplicated and all set new domain (I hope) as I am not aware of a checklist for this.

Anyway I would like to know how to purge the db so I have no sales and no customers no gift vouchers etc.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

    RR

Best done in phpMyAdmin, where you can "truncate" (empty) tables that contain redundant data.

If you know how to write SQL queries, then you can do this via the webshop admin >>> tools >>> insert sql patches ...

... but it's probably safer to use phpMyAdmin as you can see the entire database at the same time...

It's even safer to use your admin to delete each record, because it will delete all related data. If you do it with phpMyAdmin and don't carefully study to make sure you're deleting all related data, then you'll end up with horribly corrupt data and result in screwed up orders for new customers.

The ultimate best method is to do a clean install with a new clean database, since that's what you're doing with your overall store anyway. Setting up modules and taxes doesn't take all that long, and lets you cater them to your new store's unique needs as well.

Take Dr Byte's advice... My post presumes you have a good knowledge of the RELATIONSHIPS between the database tables...

Hi Guys, thanks for your response, Yes Dr Byte ultimately that would have been my preference though I had posted a question of how to go about making a duplicate as I had so many add on's etc with further questions new vs old I think it was titled and was steered toward duplicating, though I was concerned about old records.
Anyway it is mostly done now (I think unless I am missing anything) and all the relevants changed with the exception of wanting to start Fresh with new clients and sales, so I guess if I could zero these I'd be away.

I see you mentioned doing it from the admin, I did products viewed from here Ok.

So I am left with products ordered and customer.

Reset ALL Products Ordered will this one delete all orders? and if so which one does customers or shall I reset everything in this Store Manager?

    Thanks
