Weird Catalogue Duplication of Products

Hi Guys, i seem to have an issue with a product duplicating in the same category.

The products themselves are identical, i've done searchs on the products_model and it only returns the 1 product being in our catalogue.

The product is not copied to any other categories, it purely shows the same product twice in the same catagory (catalogue side) and only appears once in the admin side.

and before anyone goes into a quote from the *IT CROWD* yes i have tried turning it on and off again. Both products disapear when i switch them off and both products appear when i set them live.

any ideas?

Maybe look to see if it's also doubled in your database and delete one of them from there, if it is?

Is there any chance that the products have been linked into other categories?

Hi guys

@Get Em Fast - yep i've checked 'products' 'products_descriptions' tables and theres only 1 copy of that product.

@afo - yep i've checked in the products and theres no dropdown for 'set master category id' - 'products_to_categories' table only contains 1 reference to the product id.

Not really sure what else there is to check for any other table or ideas that i should look at?
