no icons, images, etc... on admin page

I installed newest version today.... this was my first install.

two things... on the admin page there are no icons, images, etc... just red x's where an image is supposed to be.

the second thing is when trying to go to any link, in the setup pages, the pages cannot be found.

i know what the permissions are supposed to be for the /includes/confiure file, but what about for the admin/configuaration file?

I don't know if this will be of any help to you, but I can tell you that for some reason there is two copies of my site in my file manager, I'm not sure if that is standard or not but I had the same problem with stuff not showing up in the admin end until I realized that I have two places to put files and images. If I look at my site with the proper web address everything shows up there but not when I look at it from the admin. I would check to see if you have the same configuration as me and then check both places to see if that is the problem. I actually like it that way now because I can use the admin end to preview something before I go ahead and add to my site.

Those permissions will be the same. Have you got a URL for us to take a look at? What are your permissions for your images folders?

thanks everyone. I think I am going to uninstall, and re-install . I've deleted the zencart folder on my server and will create another one, and re-load.

starting over seems simplest to me. I saw a couple of repeated files, maybe that was the cause.

that didn't help. it looks like i don't have access to the images/icons used in the admin area. the store area is fine.

any other suggestions would be great.

You got a URL for us?
Do you have SSL installed?
Did you install Zen-Cart to use SSL?
What are the permissions on the Images folder?

Wasn't wanting your user/pass........you might want to change those immediately!

In your cPanel, have you got your "Hot Link Protection" turned on? If so, try turning it off.
