I need to leave site online but disable log-in and shopping Cart

Hi there,
It's a strange request you may think, but I am having some problems with my site and hosting company.

My site was hacked and am unable to access the admin area and apply any changes.

At the moment I need to leave the site online but disable log-in and shopping Cart so it can be used for viewing products etc.

Is their particular files I can move from folders or delete them so it disables the log-in and shopping cart.

Any help would be most appreciative because I don't care what I do as long as I can eradicate anyone placing a order.

If you can access the database via phpMyAdmin, you can manually edit the Configuration Setting for the cart status.

Your host, who should have knowledge of phpMyAdmin, can do this in a matter of minutes for you.

The setting is in the Configuration Table, under the Group ID=1 and is the Configuration ID =23

Many thanks for your help but my hosting company are not helping me to do this could be because I am leaving them.

Is this straightforward enough for me to do myself, can you give me directions on what to do
