Default changing folder permissions, think i stuffed up

    Hi All,

I was just in the process of fixing up the security of my site so i could go live and in the process think i've stuffed up my shipping module by incorrectly changing the whole store/includes/languages/english folder and files to 775 accidently

can any one possibly post what each of the folders and files should be correctly set too?

The shipping module was working fine prior to this and now the ozpost defaults to the default setting and i've lost the different options.

    Any help GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sam

Really host dependant BUT guessing due to your using 755

    All folders = 755
    All files = 644

Really doubt that unless settings are in the files that this is your issue
Most settings are saved in the DB

thanks for the speedy reply kobra

the only other thing i've done is clean up the activity log, would that have affected things?

I am gussing again because you did not detail how?

Assuning you used phpmyadmin to "empty" the table - -
Did you back up the DB first?

If from the admin > tools > Store Manager - -
Empty Admin Activity Log table from the database
WARNING: Be sure to backup your database before running this update
This still should not caused an issue with your shipping module

yup i used admin > tools > Store Manager and it all said it worked fine and yes i backed up the database before i did that.

it's been working like a charm up until tonight. would it be worth reinstalling the shipping module?

Depending upon the issue - if it is erroring do you see an error?

If not maybe the debug utility will point out where it is breaking

ok this is weird, i tried the debug utility, i've made the cache folder writeable again, tried the page shipping estimator page and the checkout where this is messing up and don't get a log file for it. it's definitely working because i made the html_includes directory the wrong permission and it wouldn't access the privacy notice page and that log is in there....
