Help Installing Crafty Syntax Live Help

I just downloaded, unzipped, and copied all the folders within Crafty Syntax Live Help zip folder to my root folder. (CraftySyntax_Sidebox_For_Different_Domain, craftysyntax2.14.6, sidebox_for_domain_craftysyntax_is_installed)

However, in the readme file that it states to input the url:

http://www.yourdomainname.com/livehelp/setup.php to set up the module. This does not work, as there are multiple folders that need to be accessed before actually reaching the Setup.php file. Did I do something wrong? Can someone please help me out...

Here is the url that I need to input in order to access the Setup.php file: http://www.airsoftoutfitter.com/LiveHelp/craftysyntax2.14.6/livehelp/setup.php

But when I actually access this file, it is all text, (HTML, PHP) and I am not seeing how to complete setup.

Re: Help Installing Crafty Syntax Live Help

I installed the Live Help, but am now confused as to where this is on my site, and how to actually activate it. Just a reminder, this is installed in the ROOT of my site. Is this correct?

Re: Help Installing Crafty Syntax Live Help

Create a file in your main directory. Make up a new name like livehelp. Then open up filezilla ftp program, or whatever you are using. Login to you web host. Then up load the folders and files from your unzipped crafty folder. If you upload the unzipped folder then you end up getting yourdomain.com/blah1/blah2/blah3/setup.php, just like you did.

So just upload Blah3 folder contents to your new folder that you created on your website to house the folders and files that you are uploading.

If you do happen to upload blah3, you can always rename it to something intelligent like livehelp/.

You should end up with www.yourdomain.com/newfoldername/setup.php

Re: Help Installing Crafty Syntax Live Help

I have a problem with this as well.
I have installed it without any problems, I have copied the files, installed it from setup.php etc etc
When it comes to adding the sidebox though, it adds the sidebox and it shows on my shop. It does not however show a picture in the sidebox and there is no reference to me on the admin end to show a user is on the site.
Any help would be great as this is not functional at the moment.

Did you use the crafty module or Blank Sidebox? I had a hard time with the module too but Blank Sidebox works perfectly.

One of the posts by MagicMan tells you how to use Blank Sidebox:

Hi All,

I am having the same problem on www.whattoget.info.

I have zencart set up in /shop and live chat in /livechat (both from root) I have set up everything through livechat admin and changed the "\includes\templates\template_default\sideboxes\tpl_craftysyntax_sidebox.php" file to the settings from html code.

I still have an empty side box.

What are we doing wrong???

Re: Help Installing Crafty Syntax Live Help

If you are worried about getting it all set up yourself, you really should not be because it is quite easy to do and we’re going to walk you through the process. Even if you have never installed anything like the Crafty Syntax Help system before, you are going to find that it is a breeze to set up and even easier to use once you have it going.

Re: Help Installing Crafty Syntax Live Help

Hi Shami,

how to get the graphics to show on the sidebox ?
I reported my issue via thread:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=183143

Could you advise me, steps by steps how you configure the sidebox ?

Regards,
Sky
