How do i use an add on?

Hi, I am a first time user of Zen Cart and was wondering if someone out there could possibly help. I have downloaded an add on to change the colours on my website however I am not sure how i post that add on to my website. I have not had any experience in building a website before and was hoping that someone could give me instructions on how i change the colours...any assistance would be appreciated

What add-on did you download? The colors are controlled by the content of your includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css (where YOUR_TEMPLATE is the name of your custom template). No additional add-on should be necessary.

Thank you for your reply. The add on that i downloaded was called "extra colours for 1.3.5". The website that i have has a green and white colouring and i wanted to change the green and white theme to red and white. As i said i am a first time user and am unsure what to do to change the colour scheme. I apolgoise if i am in the wrong thread. I am not sure if it is even possible to change the colouring of the website as the template name is "classic contemporary green" and it does not give me any further options to change this. Can you help?
