Need help with log in! Have mail and get password but not username

Hi

I was changing some thing on the site, admin mail etc. Then when i tryed to log into the site the username/password did not work.

I type in the new admin email adress get the password sent to me, but it seems like the username also have been changed==

Please help!!!

Do you have access to phpMyAdmin via your host account cPanel ?

If so, you can look in the admin table for the username.

No, not through FTP...

Your host will have provided you with a login for your server account. Many use an interface called "C-Panel" but your host may call it something similar, as C-Panel is a proprietary product.

If you go to your host's website, they may have a client login there. Use the username and password they sent to you - sometimes it is the same as your FTP login.

In this "C-Panel" you will see an icon that says MySQL, and possibly even one titled "phpMyAdmin".

Now... you need to be CAREFUL with phpMyAdmin, because it is your database management tool. Errors here, and you could destroy your database.

You should do a tutorial on phpMyAdmin BEFORE you try to use it.

As with all database work... backup your database (probably a tool in C-Panel as well) before you tinker with it.
