Different shipping costs per zones AND category?

Can somebody please help and tell me how I can set up my ZenCart shop so that shipping cost is calculated based on zones AND product category.

I need to set different shipping rates for national and international customers, but the shipping rates should different based on category!

Here's an example: products belonging to category "A" cost, say, $2.00 to ship within the country and $5.00 worldwide, whereas products in category "B" cost $10 to ship nationwide but worlwide shipping is $20... and so on.

I have already defined my zones properly and "flat rate zones" is working fine but I just can't figure out how to set different rates based on categories...

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

There isn't anything built into Zen Cart to base shipping on Categories ...

While this can be written, it would take quite a bit of coding ... have you got your coder hat on?

Thanks for your reply. I have discoverd that it is possible to set different shipping rates for individual items by using the defeault ZONERATES shipping module with calculation method set to "weight" and defining a table for my country in Zone 1 and typing "00" (meaning the rest of the world) in Zone 2. Weights must be defined for each product and voiala!
