I am about to attempt to add a widget from http://www.myregistry.com/ to add to my zencart website where you can buy items for babyshowers. Is there any forewarning that I need to be aware of?

This is NOT a comment on myregistry - but rather about it and similar services.
You may want to rethink this because you need to understand that your visitors will not ONLY be looking at a wish list for YOUR site, but for any they choose to add to the list and will also be offered info about competing business.
FWIW, I set up a "dummy" site, and then registered multiple members of my family, went to "recommended sites" many of which were direct competition to the products -
Whatever you decide,
Best of luck with it.

I've actually been looking into adding a registry widget as well, and I've found that there can be many benefits to using a universal one like the one myregistry.com offers.
Since customers registering for their wedding usually don't want to open more than 2-3 registries since more than that can be considered rude, I think it will give my little shop a better shot at being included in the registry if they can make one registry with things on it from any store. This way, my customers won't refrain from registering for my products just because it would mean opening yet another registry.
Just something to think about! Let me know if you end up going with the myregistry.com widget--I'd love to hear about your experience with it.
