    Default unusual characters

    I six hours in to trying to fix this problem, I have downloaded firefox, firebug ect... but still unable to find the file that has these characters in them.

    i understand they need to be edited out with an editor like notepad++, but I can't find the file.

    My website is www.kwmagic.com

    the source code shows them:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="ltr" lang="en">
    <head>
    <title>Kind of Magic!, KWMagic - Your Local Magic Shop</title>

    Can anyone direct me to the file where I can delete these characters, i am refering to the upside down question mark and the greater than signs ?

    thanks

    Phil

    In your admin panel go to Tools, then Developer Toolkit, type the text your looking for in the bottom left box, lookup in all files and it will show you what files contain the text and where they are located.

    Looks like a fun site!

    Yes I have already tried searching for those characters and it shows the file as being english.php

    unfortunately the characters do not show up in the editor, so I am unable to delete them.

    Any ideas

    I tried notepad++

    the built in editor in the admin area only allows me to open the 'define' files.

    thanks

    I was able to remove the characters using the Cpanel editor.

    any thoughts as to why the catagory listings are a smaller font in Explorer than in Firefox ?

    I thought that was the problem... but I guess not.
