Default No admin access after moving to different server

I've had my site moved to a new server and now I can't get into admin.

This is the error I get:

    0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
    in:
    [db_cache table]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
I first had a problem with having to do a complete site restore including database because the hosting company caused so many problems with everything.

So site was restored from previous backup, database was restored, new database user was created, /includes/configure.php was changed and /MY ADMIN FOLDER/includes/configure.php was also changed.

Site is accessable, but not the administration section.

I hae been over the configure files again and again and I can't find where the problem is.

    Can anyone help?

If your site can see the database, but not admin, it almost has to be a typo in the admin configure.php file DB name, DB user or password. Make sure the two configure.php files have the exact same thing in those three fields.

I can't believe this. I looked at the admin configure file for so damn long and after you told me to look again if just stood out like dogs balls (don't know if you use that saying in the US).

When I made the new DB user, the name was just slightly different (used characters) to help increase security. I was looking at it for so long and it just didn't click.

Thanks for your reply Steve, really appreciate it.

    Dean.

More dog balls! I looked at those "root", "root", "zencart" until the magic balls appeared! And now everything works :)

yup - I too like the rather crude visual reference to my stupidity - as after reading this post I still failed to see the error - a stringer password :) DOH!
