Easy Populate Idiots Guide in the WIKI

I have started to compile a newbie's guide to using Easy Populate (Standard).

It's in the early stages - and being WIKI, can be edited / added to by anyone.

I hope it may be of some use...

As most zencart and EP users are more intelligent than I am, feel free to correct errors and omissions.

I am new to the whole online store thing and recently installed the zencart v. 1.3.9e on the server. I've also started adding individual products to the site but have over 1700 products to add. want to use the easy poplutate mod but am confused as to the instructions. The store is installed in the "root" folder of my site. The instructions aren't clear to me WHERE to install easy populate. Do I rename the "admin" folder in the EP software to something else and install in the root directory or do I copy the contents of that admin folder to the admin folder of ZC? I think I can figure out the rest of it, just not where to put the EP files. Thx for your assistance.

In your root folder you will have folders like "admin" (which you should have renamed), "includes", etc.

Any addons that you install, you simple drag the folders + files over to the root (public_html) in FTP and all the files will go into the correct folders.

Be careful to rename the /admin folder to match yours as well as renaming any folders called YOUR_TEMPLATE which you will find in certain addons.
