    Default FTP limit

I'm using FileZilla and Hostmonster is my current host.
I have a product catalog over roughly 9000 and a large image directory. However, Hostmonster is telling me they will only allow 8000 visible. They refuse to raise it and I cannot see any of my other images. This also keeps them from showing up on my website.

The images are somewhere as they can see them on their end but I cannot on mine.

If I go over the 8000 limit, the file simply vanishes after a few seconds.

    I'm lost....

Would have been better if you had checked the limit earlier
Try placing them into sub-folders inside of /images
This also keeps them from showing up on my website.
I am aware that you will not see them in FTP but are you sure that they are not displaying?

Yes, HM will limit the number of rows returned with FTP. (most hosts do)

If you use ssh (sftp) program like WinSCP, there is no limit and you will see all your files. Plus, it is much more secure.

Zen Cart allows you to put product images into subdirectories, which makes for easier management, and gets around the problem of limiting the number of files in a given folder. It will also increase the performance speed for drawing pages which look for images other than just the primary image, since it won't have to look through as many files to find matches.

I use the Zen Cart Store manager commercial addon. It does have the SSH option. I'm not sure how to go about though. I'll start reading up as it sounds like a great option.

    Thanks!
